This study deals with the two most dangerous accidents for the HGV driver: the tilting of the vehicle and the accident involving leaving the roadway. It examines especially driving dynamics in order to gain new insight in how to better stabilise articulated vehicles. The driver’s control over the vehicle can only be improved through advanced driving techniques, which in turn can only be achieved by a better education and further training.
