Laserguns for velocity measuring are established for a long time. Although they are classified as a so called standard measuring method the results of these velocity measurements are often controversial discussed before the court. The present article is engaged in current crucial questions at forensic work. In practice, the correlation of measurement result and traffic participant is still questionable and furthermore the result itself is still on touchstone. For this the authors carried out wide practical tests.
